# Piece set sources

The pieces are Colin M.L. Burnett's (Wikimedia Commons user Cburnett), drawn in 2006: the set
Wikipedia draws its chess diagrams with. Each file is the version of its Commons file named below,
byte for byte, including later fixes by other Commons editors that the file's history lists.

Commons offers every one under the GFDL, CC BY-SA 3.0, the 3-clause BSD licence and the GPL, at
the user's choice. Chesskers uses them under the 3-clause BSD licence, whose notice follows. It
must stay beside the files wherever they are served or copied; see
`docs/adr/0002-piece-set-cburnett.md`.

Generated by `packages/client/scripts/fetch-pieces.mjs`, which pins each file's version. One
line per piece: its file here, its Commons file page and the SHA-1 of the version used.
